Client – WFJ International Luxury CentreA parallel series of operable ceiling panels designed for a footbridge in the ‘WFJ International Luxury Centre, Beijing, China.

Background
The design of the operable panels are multi-purpose – when closed, the ceiling adds interior design appeal. When open, the audio-visual equipment adds functionality for special events.
Tilt was engaged to design, manufacture and supply the operable ceiling panels.

Solution
Thirty automated, suspended roof panels slide away to reveal audio-visual equipment, previously concealed above the panels.

The design offers an elegant solution which enables the space to be multi-functional, providing an appropriate aesthetic for daily use as a shopping centre, and increased functionality for special events.
