Senior Industrial Designer / Project Manager
Multi-sector Industrial Design
Join our team as a Senior Industrial Designer to project manage a range of work from concept and design through to construction and completion. This leadership role will suit someone with more than 10 years’ experience in industrial design, architecture or engineering.

About the Role
This position requires client and stakeholder management, supervision of all project-related stages, including concept development, detailed design, procurement, assembly, installation, and commissioning. A strong commercial acumen is a must, along with accurate quality control.
Success in this role will be measured as much on positive engagement in company culture as on effective delivery of commercial projects that meet internal business goals and exceed stakeholders’ expectations.
The position is for an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities
- Ownership of the end-to-end delivery of design projects
- Manage the preparation of project proposals, including the development and approval of design concepts, specifications, and budgets.
- Manage the development of concepts and detailed design documentation.
- Coordinating the design, manufacturing, and installation of all project-related products.
- Develop and manage procurement strategies to improve company operations (payment term negotiations, purchasing strategies).
- Manage staff resources, project schedules, budgets, cash flow, contract administration, design quality assurance, internal meetings, and risk management.
- Ensure staff resources are managed effectively during project execution, appropriately prioritising staff health and safety.
- Ensure the company project resources are maintained to ensure safe, reliable, and clean environments for work.
- Manage the financial reporting obligations for all projects.
- Develop and manage client/supplier/manufacturer relationships to ensure positive and productive commercial outcomes.
- Regular participation in industry and business development events.

What you’ll need for this role
– Industrial Design / Architecture / Engineering / Public Art background.
– Degree or Masters Degree in related disciplines.
– Minimum 10 years’ industry experience and a demonstrated ability to take large-scale design projects from concept to completion.
– A team-oriented and outcome-focused approach with the ability to work collaboratively on complex projects.
– Exceptional communication skills (written/verbal) with an ability to present to senior stakeholders.
– An ability to work autonomously on multiple projects simultaneously.
– Broad design capability and knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop / Illustrator / InDesign), 3D modelling capabilities a bonus. CAD skills not required.
– Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency at submission of application.

Senior Mechanical Engineer / Project Manager
Mechanical Engineering with a difference
Make a fresh start as a Senior Mechanical Engineer in our multidisciplinary team. In this leadership role, you will have more than 10 years experience in mechanical engineering. You will project manage a range of projects from concept and design, through to construction and completion.
