Within the newest building at the Westmead Health Precinct, two new engaging play spaces for children were created featuring stepping stones integrated with artistic lighting.
The brief called for a rich sensory play experience, with engaging organic forms and integrated lighting.
Working from the architects design concepts, Tilt was engaged by Fresh Landscapes to complete the custom play equipment’s detailed design and construction.
The stepping stone elements were specifically arranged to encourage interactive play and the aesthetic to complement the surrounding landscape theme.
Tilt translated the architects concept renders into 3D models and documentation suitable for manufacturing throughout the design development process, keeping safety and compliance requirements in front of mind.
Consideration for fall zones and general playground safety standards was critical to ensure a safe play space for children of a range of ages.
Tilt’s services extended beyond design and manufacturing management into the provision of playground compliance and engineering certifications.
Tilt also managed the play elements installation and commissioning, ensuring a design-focused approach for our client from beginning to end.
The custom designed play pods tie into the surrounding landscape aesthetic seamlessly, offering children a tactile and imaginative play experience.
