Hidden templates - providing metal formwork to ensure the complex brickwork geometry of the façade matched the architectural intent -
Tilt interpreted the 2D architectural drawings in order to produce a 3D model of the dome which consisting of complex curves and surfaces.
From there a manufacturing methodology was developed to produce a metal template which ensured trades could maintain accuracy during installation.
