The cone shape of the oculus skylight allows natural light to funnel through and illuminate the art gallery below, creating dynamic reflections.
Discreetly sitting within the landscaped courtyard above in a circular glazed collar leading underground into an irregular shaped cone fabricated in mirror polished stainless steel.
Tilt worked closely with the architect and fabricator to manage the artisanal process of achieving the conical shape with a mirror polished finish. The complete oculus is achieved with a combination of glazing, lighting and stainless steel fabrication, all coordinated by Tilt’s design team.
