Re-Right Collective’s Indigenous art stories to be translated into public art murals
Dennis Golding and Carmen Glynn-Braun, together as a duo also known as The Re-Right Collective, have been commissioned to translate a series of public artwork murals.
-
The artworks will reside at Randwick’s newest high-performance sporting facility, The Heffron Centre, also the new home for South Sydney’s Rabbitohs’.
Tilt has had the opportunity to collaborate with the artist’s from concept stage, providing technical advice, supporting design development and preparing installation methodologies to support the three unique sites.
The three site specific artworks include:
- Western entrance: a painted mural adorned with a series of cast bronze sculptural elements
- Internal wall: decal mural on glass
- Façade: large format decal mural with integrated lighting
The wax models for the cast bronze sculptural elements are currently being handcrafted in the foundry by Dennis and Carmen. Once cast, the elements will be affixed to the entry wall and provide a three dimensional feature for the mural.
