Jason Sims’ Golden Rhombohedron lights up the city streets at Illuminate Adelaide 2021
Jason’s golden sculpture glows with spectacular illusions revealing striking and detailed geometric form – recently unrevealed at Illuminate Adelaide 2021.

Tilt was privileged to be involved in the detailed design development for the sculpture pre fabrication.
Jason engaged Tilt to provide reviews and optimise the structural integrity and the overall size of the artwork using 3D CAD to investigate innovative fabrication solutions for the large-scale reflective sculpture.
Jason Sims’ Golden Rhombohedron sculpture is one of a pair. The design was informed by the original sculpture but is a different geometric form.

Tilt was great! I came to them with a unique brief given the work was the second of a pair. So while we had a base of knowledge, we also faced new challenges given the work is an entirely different geometric form that had to match the original.
Tilt was able to deliver on a tight timeframe and adept at managing the process of meeting engineering requirements while accommodating my creative and aesthetic preferences. It makes for a much more enjoyable process when you are confident your team is capable and committed to achieving your vision. I look forward to working with them again in the future.
