  • Innovative new technology providing solution to harsh sunlight and heat

UTS sun shades featured in Urban.com.au

  • The glass façade of the University of Technology Sydney’s brand-new tower UTS Central is not only aesthetically pleasing but also very practical.

The innovative project is fast making headlines and has recently featured on Urban.com.au highlighting the technology behind the operable sun shading system for the new Reading Rooms. Sunlight will be controlled using operable blinds throughout the main tower, and by intricate sunshades on the north-facing façade, which were designed by Tilt.

Tilt’s Managing Director Tim Phillips, states “We’re excited to see the UTS Central building come to life. It was such a fantastic, collaborative process between Tilt, architects fjmt studio and builder Richard Crookes Constructions, and it shows in the final result.

  • We’re thrilled we were able to successfully deliver on fjmt’s design intent to create something extraordinary.”
