As Industrial Designers, product design is at the heart of our business. We collaborate with manufacturers, architects, and creatives to design and develop exceptional products across a broad range of industries.
From boutique brands to multinational organisations, we understand the importance of fostering a competitive advantage through product design innovation.
We’re passionate about collaboration and bringing our client’s concepts to life, using our unique product design process developed from decades of expertise in industrial design.
Individual or Large-Scale
Since our foundation, millions of people have used, admired, played on, performed under, sought shelter, accessed spaces, purchased products, or found their way using our innovative product designs.
Our service extends from small or large-scale one-off design projects to product concepts intended for mass production.
Our feasibility studies foster design innovation and can be a standalone service or a core part of our end-to-end product design process.
These comprehensive studies investigate the critical design criteria and focus on how to achieve them while protecting our clients’ aesthetic and commercial objectives.
As part of our design feasibility study service, we explore every avenue to translate a concept into a technically-sound manufacturing approach.
One example of such exploration is the product design study we undertook for fjmt’s UTS Sydney sunshade project. As part of this study, we investigated mechanical engineering, structural engineering, wind loads, electrical integration, material selection, aesthetic and functional objectives, as well as how to achieve everything within budgetary expectations.
Tilt went on to manage the product design, manufacturing and installation of fjmt’s UTS Sydney sun shading system, winning the Urban Developer 2020 award for Excellence in Construction Innovation. To read more about the UTS Sunshade product design and technology, please click here.
After providing our clients with their product design feasibility study, we develop the concept, embracing technological advancements in 3D CAD modelling and iterative prototyping to better assess the design and minimise risk.
Upon approval, we have the capability to construct the product and manage the installation and on-going support if relevant.
As well as being beautifully usable, a product can also stimulate multiple senses. Our recent product design project for The Quiet Community resulted in a prototype for a multi-sensory, ergonomic and sustainable Q-Pod for the workplaces of tomorrow.
